AI that learns from experience, tells you how sure it is, and keeps private information private.

Hyuge is a research lab building learning systems that grow from data as it arrives, without pre-training or retraining.

Toward a science of learning that people and machines can both understand.

Point of view

Today's AI fixes a model in advance, then spends enormous sums training and retraining it. We think the data already implies the model, and that learning should never have to start over.

The architecture

Four technologies, at different stages

QuSFLA is in production. PALM is in internal testing. PIE and VILLA are in active development. VILLA will bring the other three together. Each technology shows its current status.

  • QuSFLA

    Status: Production

    Hyuge's privacy architecture

Lets private information be used with AI tools without being handed over. In production today as a desktop app that removes private details before a request reaches an AI tool, then restores them in the answer.

  • PALM

    Status: Alpha

    the learning engine

Learns progressively from each new piece of data. It starts from nothing, grows with experience, needs no pre-training and no retraining cycle, and answers with a confidence level. The core engine is complete and in internal testing.

  • PIE

    Status: Pre-alpha

    persistent meaning

Represents information so its meaning persists and builds up over time, instead of being thrown away every time a model is replaced. Private details stay with their owner.

  • VILLA

    Status: Pre-alpha

    Hyuge's learning architecture

The unified system that will bring QuSFLA, PALM and PIE together. "Veritas" means truth: every result will come with how sure the system is.

Properties

What we are building toward

  1. Learns from experience

Patterns come straight from the data as it arrives, including data no formula has ever described.

  2. Never starts over

New data adds to what the system knows. There is no retraining cycle.

  3. Says how sure it is

Every result carries a confidence level, and the system asks when information is missing instead of guessing.

  4. Private by architecture

Private information can shape an answer without leaving its owner's control.

  5. Small by design

Built to do specific work efficiently, not to be the largest model in the room.

  6. People make the call

Hyuge's systems support human judgment. They never replace it.
